Circular economy
In the spirit of the ‘use it again’ message so important in our world today 2 sailors https://www.useitagain.earth/?lang=en truly embrace the circular economy as they circumnavigate the world in a reused trimaran yacht.
Previously used by Ellen MacArthur the yacht is now unwinding her journey by heading in the opposite direction. When the vessel was being prepared for its journey they used as many recycled pieces as possible for repairs.
23 days into their journey with scenic views and videos along the way, they are a great inspiration as we slowly unfold and navigate the course of our own Januarys!

Those missing hours...Online
Blowing the combawa's away
We are still a little in the dark
Some days the sun barely lifts it’s head to smile or acknowledge.
Thankfully these walls have windows and doors and cupboards, like our memories,
our imaginations and our secrets.
We think back and replay videos on our phone.
A crowd at the bar of a family gathering, everyone looking splendid, huge smiles, shouting above the music. The hand language from the other side of the room to signal ‘a large glass of red’, the thumbs up, the nod, the smile, then the tug of your sleeve, when someone squeals and pulls you towards the music with it’s familiar beat.
This third lockdown is a mix of apathy, empathy, even telepathy. Should we be trying a new diet, new language, new layout, new life?
Or is it just ok,
Just ok,
To be.
To champion the smallest step, remove the pressure, navigate the darkness like the shy, brave little snowdrop. To relish in an hour or two of hush, except for reflection.
I recently experienced a ‘slow down and pause’ moment with our aromatherapist, concocting a new formula for all of you, our Relaxayvoo family. I am always delighted when scents transport you to places, if you close your eyes. This single activity and attention to detail really elevated my mood to joy, that day.
It refreshed my sense of purpose and as the english saying goes,
‘blew the cobwebs away ’, though perhaps ‘blew the *combawas away’ is more fitting!
I will be taking my own pace,
my own quick, quick, slow.
…and I hope you will do the same

*combawas- a citrus, similar to lime
The combawa essential oil is one of the ingredients in the bath formula we are currently developing. This beautiful mood lifting citrus scent from Madagascar is known for its
anti-inflammatory properties and can alleviate anxiety and insomnia!
Something to look forward to.
The curious awakening
There you are peeking out from the duvet with sticky out hair.
Yes we are here at the start of a box fresh new year...feels like the biggest Monday.
Slightly startled, with suspicious eyebrow raised, one foot blindly searches the chilly floor for the missing slipper.
Festive sparkle snuffed and already a pink glow radiating from shop shelves and online stores.
Coffee first.
Where to start?
A warm breath on the window, index finger artwork, delete and stare through the smudge. We confirm. It is cold out there.
We have energetic plans without an official start date.....but we are the Boss of this!
A meeting with self decides we will set our own pace.
But not procrastinate.
Get the tough stuff out of the way to ‘feel better already’.
A journal, an empty notepad...fresh innocent pages to record the future not the past.
Our brainstorm acknowledges our dreams and passions and scribbles down this magnificent vision. A place to evolve. An authentic piece of you to pick up, add, adjust, amaze.
Surely it deserves an exciting title...
It now seems possible, do-able, achievable.
The shower drenches you with positivity, progress and possibility.
Layers.....and extra layers of clothing lay neatly on the bed, ready for ‘action’.
The cap unwinds…
5 drops and a pause to inhale this comforting scent before it kisses your face.
Hat on, stray curl tucked in.
Quick mirror check.
All good.
And a stride.....yes a stride, a confident stride, a stride that says I know what is happening next.
A nod and a smile as you pass me in the park
Good day
