Sit Still

Meditation’ seemed an elusive word to me back in 2014 . I was craving something simple but also felt a hesitancy to commit.

Reading about ancient Vedic Meditation I felt curious enough to enrol on a short course at the London Meditation Centre with Michael Miller.
By practicing twice 20 minutes a day, time itself would stretch…..How could that be?

After the first weekend I vividly remember noticing enhanced details around me. Buildings I’d passed blindly on the school run, came into focus, and the dulling fog of stress noticeably cleared.

A few months in, my energy had shifted.
and with noticeable benefits it became easier to maintain.

Fast forward a decade, and time is still expanding. I now recognise when I’m at that point of fatigue at the end of the day and things start to pile up, urgent email deadlines compete for attention over dinner prep and other random ‘stuff’. This is my cue for a short meditative timeout resulting in a more aligned perspective & an ability to complete tasks more efficiently. Almost designating to a higher self.
